BTS‘ “Spring Day” is already known as their biggest hit in South Korea, thanks to its enduring presence on the charts since release.
In December 2018 it became the longest charting song in the history of the Gaon charts with 93 weeks spent in the top 100. Now the track has hit a new achievement on a different chart: it’s spent 130 weeks on Melon’s weekly Top 100 chart without dropping off once.
“Spring Day” has now matched the previous record holder, Sam Smith’s “I’m Not The Only One”, and will likely go on to surpass his record.
Fans celebrated by trending #130Weeks_With_SpringDay on Twitter, sharing their love for the song that’s probably going to go on to break even more records.
Revisit “Spring Day” below and read about why we think the track has become a mainstay on Korean charts.
